Sultan Chowdhury is a proven leader in the management and implementation of critical projects in Computer Science & IT, finance, infrastructure development, and community engagement. He is pursuing his passion serving the community. Prior to his retirement, he served in management and executive positions in the U.S. federal government, Big-4 CPA firm, banking, and major airlines over a span of 40+ years. He organized successful business units, and effectively managed large teams of high-level professionals. His work required coordination with top executives at large U.S. and multi-national corporations, and government entities. He successfully implemented over 60 major projects in information technology (IT) and financial management in the U.S. federal government, banking, and major airlines. A strategic planner, he introduced innovative solutions to complex problems.
He is involved in many community efforts, such as serving as a Chair (formerly Director) for the Montgomery County Muslim Foundation (MCMF), Board of Trustees for the Islamic Community Center of Potomac (ICCP), Founding Member, of the Potomac Area Interfaith Communities (PAIC), and Founding Director of the American Bangladeshi Community Foundation, Inc., and Member of the North Bethesda Rotary Club.
