Religious Land Use Working Group

Navigating the construction, permitting and zoning process with house of worship construction can be a complicated process.

The Religious Land Use Working Group  is a subcommittee of the Faith Community Advisory Council of Montgomery County.  Its mission is to serve as an education and advocacy resource for the unique land use interests of Montgomery County faith communities with county (and when appropriate, regional, and state) entities responsible for overseeing land use and related matters, while working to develop and maintain a respectful, collaborative, and effective working relationship between faith communities and these entities.  This group is actively looking for new members to join to help support houses of worship. Time commitment is one hour per week for a meeting, and time spent supporting houses of worship.

For more information on this group, such as attending a meeting, becoming a member, or seeking support from the group, please contact Interfaith@montgomerycountymd.gov.
